almost 12 midnight, almost dead.

walked a whole lot today, trying (quite unsuccessfully) to sell greeting cards during a non-season to people to raise funds for the volunteering place. the big plan i thought of last night which was supposed to help make our job easier was carried out for only 10 seconds before we gave up because by the time we found a good location it was almost time to return the tin cans and leftover cards. blame it on age. i think we're not cute enough anymore. sigh. AND fit. so tired can.

my mum has this new phrase she keeps using. okay, it's not new, but frequency of usage has increased greatly.
no matter what circumstance, it'll come with that phrase at the end.
(me: "i have no school tmr!) "oh no school tmr ah? then you better sleep early."
OR " you have school tmr right? you better sleep early."
OR (me: "lessons start at 130pm la, mother.") "oh is it? then you have to sleep early."
it makes no logical sense but she still uses it. the phrase functions like a kind of punctuation, a fullstop. you MUST use it.

watched the table tennis finals just now, between Singapore and China. everyone gathered around the tv in the living room, except my mum, who pops by occasionally with "still playing ah? how already??" the whole event was, okay la. not as exciting as the korea vs sgp match on friday, which got me and my dad hooked and very excited. who were we rooting for? Singapore, of course.

we may be green passport holders, but hell, we're all for singapore.
